John has a background of over 14 years working in the concrete industry and uses his experience to provide professional service and quality workmanship with Anne providing administration expertise. Being an owner operated business means that John can give clients friendly personal service with attention to detail.

Clients include construction & roading firms, builders, plumbers, coolstore installers and home owners and covers the wider Nelson Tasman area and through to West Coast and Golden Bay. John welcomes your calls and will visit your site to make an inspection and offer advice and competitive pricing.

John Thomson – Director and experienced concrete cutter
John is a qualified mechanic and has many years experience working in engineering and concrete cutting & grinding in the Nelson / Tasman region. He enjoys meeting people and as well as working with construction companies and tradespeople in the Tasman region, he enjoys meeting people at the jobs in private homes. In his spare time he is an avid Holden fan and V8 racing & also enjoys jogging, tramping and long walks with "Sassie" the dog.

Anne Thomson – Director
Anne is a qualified accountant and in the past worked in forest planning & management. She is an experienced horticulturalist having managed their own 6ha apple orchard for 10 years. She now combines administration responsibilities for John’s Cutting Ltd with working part time for a large horticulture company. Anne’s spare time interests are jogging, tramping and kayaking. She also has a passion for mountain trekking & climbing in Peru where she has a “second” family which she travels to Peru to visit each year and go trekking & adventuring with them.

Travelling around with John is his faithful co-driver “Sassie” who supervises operations and minds the truck when John is out. She also enjoys meeting clients and is always looking to share their lunch!
